The song 'Girl' by the Beatles was chosen by me because it reminds me so much of our obsession with the Beatles as we were growing up and how

we would sing along to this particular record with our friends, who shared the same interests as us. 

We were so obsessed with the Beatles that not only did we collect all their records between us but we also collected the Beatles magazine which was 

Re-released during the 1970's after first being published during the 60's. I still have all of our records and all those old magazines!

But we also went as far as to support Liverpool football club because we thought as the Beatles were from Liverpool they would be bound to support Liverpool not even considering Everton as an option!

And the funniest thing we used to do was when we were allowed to go into town together on the bus with our firends during the school holidays we

would buy our bus tickets from the conductor in what we thought were our best 'scouse' accents! I wonder what we must have sounded like!!

Strangely enough the song Girl was actually released on the day Rebecca was born - 3rd December 1965.
